Denver, CO
I may have said some unfair things about the Denver area back in April. After my most recent
trip, I once again see the appeal of Colorado. I spent a week downtown for a conference and these
are a few of the sights I took in.

Aww look how sweet Dixie is in her little birthday hat.

I stayed right on the 14th street pedestrian mall, which is great. Live music every night and during the day, the walk to the capitol building is just around the corner.

Here is the capitol itself.

Denver is so sunny and dry that any fool with a cheap camera can take postcard ready photographs. I don't know what building this is, but it's nice.

I started on this journey specifically to reach the art museum because James Howard Kunstler called it an eyesore, but I kind of like it. It looks like a giant ship from a sci-fi movie.

Here you see the prow of the great ship. She's a real beauty.

It seems like wherever I go, I can't appreciate the downtown art. I like that picasso in Chicago, but I'm not real fond of this. "Guy with bell-brain"
